LEUNG CHUN-YING, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, dismissing the suggestion by some young people that the HKSAR should prepare for a “second negotiation” for its future beyond 2047, when the Basic Law governing the city expires. In an exclusive interview with China Daily, Leung also said the majority of Hong Kong people support the “One Country, Two Systems” principle and only a small minority are advocating for “independence”.
